DJI has expanded its camera lineup with the Osmo 360 II, featuring dual square CMOS sensors, native 8K recording, and enhanced stabilisation, promising improved panoramic imaging and low-light performance.
DJI has reportedly expanded its 360-degree camera line with the Osmo 360 II, a model described by Sangri Today as the successor to the company’s panoramic camera. The report says the device uses dual 1/1.1-inch square CMOS sensors, an f/1.9 aperture and a claimed 14.5 stops of dynamic range. DJI’s own product pages for the Osmo 360 list the same sensor size, aperture and ISO range, and say the square sensor format is intended to improve panoramic image use efficiency while preserving a field of view comparable with a traditional 1-inch design.
On recording performance, DJI says the Osmo 360 supports native 8K panoramic video, although the company’s published specifications list 8K capture at up to 50fps, with 6K reaching 60fps. The FAQ also says SuperNight mode extends low-light shooting to 8K at 24/25/30fps and 6K at 24/25/30fps. DJI’s product pages further list RockSteady 3.0 and HorizonSteady stabilisation, 128GB of built-in storage, microSD expansion and a 2-inch touchscreen.
Sangri Today says the standard Chinese bundle is priced at CNY 3,299, or about ₹46,700, and includes the camera, a 2,150mAh cold-resistant battery, two lens protectors and a pouch. It adds that an Adventure Combo costs CNY 3,999, or roughly ₹56,600, and comes with three batteries, a multifunctional charging case, a dual-direction quick-release adapter, a 1.2-metre invisible selfie stick, lens protectors and a pouch. No India pricing has been announced.
