DJI has unveiled the Osmo 360 II in China, offering faster capture, improved low-light capabilities, user-replaceable lenses, and advanced automation, signalling a shift towards a more professional and rugged market segment.
DJI has launched the Osmo 360 II in China, positioning the new camera as a more capable follow-up to the original Osmo 360 with faster capture, better low-light performance and a more flexible mounting system. DJI’s own specifications for the current Osmo 360 show a dual 1/1.1-inch square CMOS sensor setup, 8K video at 50fps, 120MP panoramic photos and a 10-metre waterproof rating without a case, which sets the baseline the new model is now pushing beyond.
TechieLobang reported that the China launch price starts at 3,299 yuan for the standard kit, while the top Road Bike Rear View Set is listed at 4,266 yuan. That places the new model above the original Osmo 360, which DJI’s international product pages show starts at $389 in the US for the Standard Combo, with other bundles priced higher. The pricing gap suggests DJI is pitching the II as a premium step-up rather than a simple refresh.
On paper, the most notable changes are practical as much as technical. According to the comparison shared by TechieLobang, the Osmo 360 II raises panoramic video to 8K at 60fps, up from 8K at 50fps, increases dynamic range to 14.5 stops from 13.5 stops and moves to AI Super Night Scene 2.0 for improved low-light work. It also adds user-replaceable lenses, NFC pairing, a bidirectional magnetic quick-release mount and a Spotlight Follow mode for subject tracking. The result is a clearer sign that DJI is targeting action users and creators who need faster setup, more durable hardware and more automation in the field.
