Buyers in Egypt face a broad range of prices for the new iPhone 17 models, with discrepancies stemming from various retailers, included warranties, taxes, and bundle offers, highlighting a volatile market landscape.
Egyptian buyers comparing Apple’s iPhone 17 range are facing a wide spread of prices, with local retailers and distributors listing different figures depending on storage, warranty and whether tax is included. VetoGate says the base iPhone 17 starts at about EGP68,000, the iPhone Air at EGP72,000, the iPhone 17 Pro at EGP87,000 and the Pro Max at EGP90,000, but other sellers place the same devices above or below those levels depending on the bundle. Tradeline Stores lists the iPhone 17 at EGP69,900 with customs duties and taxes included, while Egypt Independent reports a starting price of EGP62,500 for the 256GB model.
The standard iPhone 17 is built around Apple’s A19 chip and a 6.3-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display with ProMotion, supporting a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. EGPrices and Tabseeta both describe a dual 48-megapixel camera arrangement, while retail listings also refer to brighter panels, Ceramic Shield protection and storage options beginning at 256GB. Some sellers say the phone runs on iOS 26 and comes in colours such as Lavender, Mist Blue, Black, White and Sage.
The newly positioned iPhone Air is being marketed as Apple’s thinnest handset in the line-up, with Orange Egypt saying it measures about 5.6mm and starts from EGP79,000. VetoGate’s report gives a lower price point of EGP72,000, showing how sharply offers can vary in the Egyptian market. Tradeline and Orange both include warranty and tax-related benefits in their promotions, suggesting that headline prices do not always reflect the full cost to the buyer.
The Pro models are positioned for higher-end users. According to VetoGate, the iPhone 17 Pro uses an A19 Pro chip, a 6.3-inch screen, a redesigned horizontal camera bar and 12GB of RAM, with colours including copper orange and dark blue. The Pro Max grows to 6.9 inches, adds a triple 48-megapixel camera system and a larger battery, and is aimed at heavy gaming and demanding workloads. Orange Egypt lists the Pro Max from EGP94,000 and the Pro from EGP86,500, while Egypt Independent says the Pro Max starts at EGP94,000 for 256GB and the Pro at EGP86,500 for the same capacity.
