The square-format instax SQUARE 2 launches in Singapore on 11 November 2026, pairing simple controls with new Warm and Cool lens filters and a Landscape Mode.
Fujifilm is bringing a new square-format instant camera to Singapore as it refreshes its instax range with the instax SQUARE 2, a follow-up to the SQ1. According to Fujifilm’s Singapore newsroom, the analogue model will go on sale on 11 November 2026 at S$169, positioning it as an entry-level option for users who want instant prints without a more complex camera interface. The announcement also confirms that the camera will come in three colours: Slate Blue, Brick Red and Misty White.
The new model keeps the same straightforward operating logic that defined the earlier SQ1: turn the lens barrel to power it on, aim, and press the shutter. Fujifilm says the SQUARE 2 retains Automatic Exposure and a Selfie Mirror, while adding a Landscape Mode for distant subjects alongside the existing Standard and Close-up modes. The camera also introduces a Mood Filter switch, with Warm and Cool settings that place a physical filter in front of the lens to alter the tone of the image before the print develops.
Fujifilm is pairing the camera with a new SOFT HAZE square film, which the company says uses a newly developed emulsion to create softer light effects and warmer colour tones. It is being marketed for portraits, skin tones, interiors and travel scenes, with Fujifilm describing the broader campaign as “follow your mood” to encourage users to match the look of their prints to the atmosphere of the moment. The launch fits Fujifilm’s wider strategy for instax, which continues to span mini, SQUARE and WIDE film formats across instant cameras and printers.
