GIGABYTE will launch the 16-inch GAMING A16 EWHS3JP893SH in Japan on 30 October, pairing Intel’s AI-focused Core Ultra 9 185H with an RTX 5070 Laptop GPU and a 165Hz display.
GIGABYTE will begin selling a new 16-inch AI gaming laptop in Japan on 30 October, pricing the GAMING A16 EWHS3JP893SH at ¥320,000 through Amazon.co.jp. The model is positioned as a machine for modern gaming, AI-assisted content creation and 4K video editing, combining Intel’s Core Ultra 9 185H processor with Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 5070 Laptop GPU. According to the company’s product information, the combination is intended to balance high-performance graphics with accelerated AI workloads.
At the heart of the laptop is a 16-core, 22-thread Core Ultra 9 185H, which includes Intel Arc graphics and an Intel AI Boost neural processing unit for on-device AI tasks. GIGABYTE pairs this with an RTX 5070 Laptop GPU rated at up to 115W, and adds MUX switch support so the system can route graphics output more directly through the discrete GPU when higher performance is needed. The configuration follows the broader GAMING A16 line that GIGABYTE has been updating through 2025 and 2026 with newer processors and RTX 50-series graphics.
The display specification is aimed at both play and everyday use. GIGABYTE says the 16.0-inch WUXGA panel runs at 165Hz with a 3ms response time, uses a 16:10 aspect ratio and achieves a 90% screen-to-body ratio thanks to slim bezels on all four sides. The screen also opens flat to 180 degrees, which the company says is useful for meetings and more flexible use on the move. A non-glare finish is listed on GIGABYTE’s Japanese product page for the GAMING A16 GA6EH family.
Cooling and portability remain central to the design. GIGABYTE says the laptop uses its WINDFORCE thermal system with two thin fans carrying 134 blades each, together with a 3D VortX layout that combines two intake and four exhaust air channels. It also supports low-noise operation in lighter workloads through AI cooling. Other features include Gigabit LAN, Wi-Fi 6E, a Japanese keyboard with single-colour RGB backlighting, Dolby Atmos audio and USB PD 3.0 charging, which GIGABYTE says can replenish the battery to 50% in about 30 minutes.
