Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold refines its foldable design with stronger build and advanced features

Google unveils the Pixel 11 Pro Fold, boasting a lighter, more durable design, enhanced display and camera technology, and Gemini-powered AI features, signalling a significant step forward in foldable smartphone innovation.

Google’s latest foldable arrives with a sharper engineering focus than before. According to Android Central and TechRadar, the Pixel 11 Pro Fold was unveiled on 12 August 2026 and is due to reach buyers on 20 August, with a starting price of $1,899. It is lighter and more durable than its predecessor, measuring 239g and built around an IP68-rated body with a new hinge, tougher outer glass and a reinforced rear panel. The device pairs a 6.5-inch exterior display with an 8.0-inch inner panel, both running at 120Hz and peaking at 3,600 nits, while Google’s Tensor G6 chip moves to a 2nm process and is joined by 16GB of RAM and storage of up to 1TB. Android Central also reports that Google is leaning heavily on Gemini-powered features, including live translation, photo tools and accessibility functions designed to make the larger screen more useful in everyday use.

That hardware push is matched by faster charging and a slimmer chassis, although the battery has been reduced to 4,750mAh. Android Central says the phone can reach 50% in around 30 minutes with a 30W or higher PPS charger, and it now supports 25W Qi2 wireless charging. The camera system remains a triple-lens setup, but with a revised 48-megapixel main sensor and 30x zoom support, alongside software features such as Magic Capture and HiLight rear LEDs for alerts and Gemini feedback. Separately, Honor has started rolling out the Pad X9b Max in selected markets, positioning it as a large Android tablet for study, work and entertainment. The tablet’s 13-inch display, 10,100mAh battery, four-speaker audio system and optional Paperlike version point to a different segment of the market, one that favours endurance and reading comfort over pocketable design.
