Google has announced its Pixel 11 series and Pixel Watch 5, emphasising AI enhancements, higher prices, and integration within its ecosystem, signalling a shift towards local processing and premium hardware.
Google has unveiled the Pixel 11 family, extending the line-up with the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL and Pixel 11 Pro Fold as it pushes Gemini deeper into the device experience. The launch, reported by Analytics Insight and echoed by other technology outlets, keeps the series visually close to earlier Pixel phones while sharpening the emphasis on on-device artificial intelligence and refreshed colour choices inspired by nature. Google also used the event to introduce the Pixel Watch 5, widening the hardware push beyond phones.
Pricing appears to be moving higher across the range. Analytics Insight says the Pixel 11 starts at Rs. 89,999, the Pixel 11 Pro at Rs. 1,19,999 and the Pixel 11 Pro XL at Rs. 1,34,999, while the Pixel 11 Pro Fold is priced at Rs. 1,86,999 with 512 GB of storage. Separate leaks reported by Android Central, Android Authority, Tom’s Guide and 9to5Google had already pointed to a broader shift away from 128 GB as the entry tier, with 256 GB becoming the new baseline and price rises across markets.
Google has also increased memory across the line. The base Pixel 11 now comes with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage, while the Pro models go to 16 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of storage, according to Analytics Insight. The company says that higher minimum memory is needed because Gemini Intelligence relies more heavily on local processing. Reported leaks from Droid-Life and Android Central suggested the Pro models may reserve full 16 GB configurations for higher-capacity variants, a sign that parts supply and regional configurations could still vary.
On the hardware side, the Pixel 11 uses a display rated at 3,000 nits, while the Pro models reach 3,600 nits. Analytics Insight says all three standard models carry IP68 protection. LOS40 reported that the phones are powered by Google’s Tensor G6 chip, which is meant to improve efficiency and speed for AI tasks, and that the Pro models add features such as Pro Zoom up to 120x, 8K recording, wireless Pixelsnap charging and support for up to 45W wired charging. The same report said Google is promising 7 years of software updates.
The Pixel Watch 5 appears to be part of the same push to make Gemini a centrepiece of Google’s ecosystem. LOS40 reported that the watch will come in 41 mm and 45 mm sizes, with improved sensors, dual-frequency GPS and satellite SOS support, while Gemini functions are expected to work even without a connection. That suggests Google is trying to tie its phone, watch and AI software together more tightly than before, with premium hardware acting as the vehicle for more local, less cloud-dependent AI features.
