Leaked specifications suggest HMD is launching a new 4G clamshell phone, the 2760 Flip, with a larger display, advanced camera, and Android 13 Go, offering a more smartphone-like experience.
HMD is preparing a new 4G clamshell feature phone under the 2760 Flip name, according to leaked specifications circulated by the insider smashx_60 and reported by IXBT News. The handset is said to follow the same broad format as HMD’s existing flip phones, with a 2.8-inch main LCD and a 1.77-inch cover display.
The reported hardware suggests a modest but noticeable step up from the HMD 2660 Flip, which uses a Unisoc T107 chip, 64 MB of RAM and 128 MB of storage, with microSD expansion to 32 GB. By contrast, the unreleased 2760 Flip 4G is said to use a Unisoc T310 processor clocked at up to 1.8GHz, alongside 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, with support for microSD cards up to 128GB. The leaked camera setup is also more ambitious, with a 5-megapixel rear sensor with autofocus and LED flash, plus a VGA front or secondary camera with its own flash.
Software details point to an increasingly smartphone-like feature phone. IXBT News says the device will run Icon OS 13 based on Android 13 Go, with Google Mobile Services and the Play Store. The leaks also describe a 2,500mAh battery with USB-C charging, Wi-Fi, hotspot support, Bluetooth, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a touch panel, an SOS key and the Snake game. Colour options are tipped to include black, blue and pink. HMD has not officially announced the model, but the specifications broadly echo the company’s current flip-phone line while updating it with newer software and larger storage.
