Honor expands its presence in New Zealand by teaming up with One NZ to offer its latest 600 series and Magic V6 foldable phones through carrier and retail channels, featuring advanced AI capabilities and flagship specifications.
HONOR has appointed One NZ as its New Zealand carrier partner, expanding the brand’s local presence as it brings the HONOR 600, HONOR 600 Pro and Magic V6 to market. The move shifts HONOR in New Zealand from a retail-only model to a combined carrier and retail channel, with the phones available through Phone Dollars on interest-free terms as well as outright purchase. According to One NZ, the arrangement is meant to give customers more choice, flexibility and value.
The new HONOR 600 series is aimed at the upper mid-range and premium smartphone market. The HONOR 600 is priced at NZ$1,199 and pairs a 200-megapixel AI camera with a 7,000mAh battery, 80W HONOR SuperCharge, a 6.57-inch AMOLED display rated at up to 8,000 nits, and IP68/IP69K protection. It runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 4. The HONOR 600 Pro, at NZ$1,699, adds a triple-camera system with a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens offering up to 120x zoom, CIPA 6.5-stop stabilisation, 50W wireless charging and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite platform.
The launch is anchored by the Magic V6, HONOR’s latest foldable flagship. The device is priced at NZ$3,299 and is presented as one of the slimmest large-screen foldables in the market, at 8.75mm when folded and 4.0mm unfolded, while weighing 219g. HONOR says it uses a 6,660mAh silicon-carbon battery, which it describes as the largest ever fitted to a foldable phone, alongside the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, a 7.95-inch inner display and a 6.52-inch outer screen. The company also highlights its Super Steel Hinge, IP68/IP69K resistance and support for Apple devices including iPhone, Mac, AirPods and Apple Watch.
HONOR is also leaning heavily on software and AI features across the range. The 600 series includes AI Image to Video 2.0, which turns still images into short animated clips using prompts, and an AI Photos Agent for natural-language editing. The phones also come with Google Gemini for text, voice and image-based assistance. HONOR said the devices will be sold in New Zealand from 26 August 2026 through One NZ and major retailers Noel Leeming, Harvey Norman and JB Hi-Fi.
