Honor has launched the Pad X9b Max in select overseas markets, offering a large 13-inch display, robust multimedia features, and a dedicated edition for heavy readers, marking a strategic shift in its device lineup.
Honor has started introducing the Pad X9b Max in selected overseas markets, positioning it as a large-screen Android tablet for work, study and media use. Although the device is described in the lead material as a laptop, the specifications published by Honor identify it as a tablet with a 13-inch 2.5K display and a 120Hz refresh rate.
Honor says the screen is paired with a Snapdragon 6s 4G Gen 2 processor, 6GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, with memory expansion reaching 18GB through its RAM Turbo system and microSD support of up to 2TB. The company is also stressing practical features for everyday use, including a 700-nit panel, which should help visibility in brighter environments.
Audio and battery life are central to the pitch. According to Honor’s specifications, the tablet uses a four-speaker system with Hi-Res Audio and Hi-Res Audio Wireless support, as well as IMAX Enhanced certification for video playback. Its 10,100mAh battery is rated for up to 16 hours of video, 13 hours of document reading and 73 hours of music playback.
For readers focused on note-taking and long reading sessions, Honor is also offering a Paperlike edition. The company says the matte finish reduces glare by 35% and reflections by 98%, while TÜV Rheinland certifications are intended to address flicker and blue-light concerns. That makes the variant more clearly aimed at students and heavy readers than at casual entertainment use alone.
