Huawei has launched the Watch GT 7 Pro in China, introducing new colour finishes, software upgrades including a Pro Ski mode, and maintaining its hardware strengths such as battery life and water resistance, with international release details still pending.
Huawei has released the Watch GT 7 Pro in China, keeping the overall shape of the previous model while refreshing the colour options and the strap. Alongside black, the watch now comes in two new finishes that pair a silver case with green or yellow accents. The company has also reworked the bundled wristband to make it more comfortable for everyday wear.
On the hardware side, the Watch GT 7 Pro appears largely unchanged from the Watch GT 6 Pro. It still uses a titanium case rated for 5 ATM water resistance, a ceramic rear panel and sapphire crystal over the display. The screen remains a 1.47-inch AMOLED panel with a resolution of 466 by 466 pixels and a quoted peak brightness of 3,000 nits. Huawei also retains the same core sensor suite, including heart-rate tracking, blood oxygen measurement, skin temperature sensing and ECG.
Battery life is one of the watch’s main selling points. Huawei says the device can last up to 21 days with light use, 12 days under typical conditions and 7 days with always-on display enabled. Standard features include speakers, microphones, NFC, GPS and Bluetooth 6.0. The biggest changes are in software, where Huawei has added a new Pro Ski mode that records metrics such as peak G-forces and can display ski-slope routes. Cycling, golf and running modes have also been refined. For now, the Watch GT 7 Pro is priced at $399 in China, while international launch details remain unconfirmed.
