Huawei’s Watch Ultimate Spring Edition elevates smartwatch design into luxury jewellery territory

Huawei’s new Watch Ultimate Spring Edition blurs the line between high-end jewellery and wearable technology with its diamond-set design and premium features, priced at €3,799. The device aims at affluent consumers seeking exclusivity alongside health tracking and connectivity.

Huawei’s Watch Ultimate Design Spring Edition is a clear attempt to push a smartwatch into luxury territory rather than simply compete on fitness features. The device combines jewellery-style finishing with the sort of health and activity tracking now expected from a premium wearable, signalling that design has become a selling point in its own right.

According to Huawei’s product information, the watch uses a diamond-cut sapphire crystal, a diamond-set crown and a vine-motif strap, with 99 hand-set natural diamonds used across the design. The company also positions the watch as a statement piece aimed at buyers who want a watch that looks closer to fine jewellery than a conventional smartwatch.

Functionally, Huawei says the model tracks sleep, heart rate and stress and supports more than 100 workout modes. Gizguide reported that the Spring Edition also includes an X-TAP sensor and eSIM support for cellular calling, while Huawei’s own listings say the watch is compatible with iOS, Android and Huawei devices. That broader compatibility is important, since luxury wearables often risk appealing only to a narrow audience.

The pricing underlines the ambition. Huawei has set the European retail price at €3,799, placing the Spring Edition firmly in the high-end segment. That makes it less a mass-market smartwatch than a niche product for buyers who value craftsmanship, materials and exclusivity as much as digital health features.
