Insta360 has opened early pre-orders for its highly anticipated X6 360-degree camera in the Philippines, offering exclusive freebies and hinting at significant hardware improvements including dual Sony sensors, AI chips, and 8K recording capabilities ahead of a global launch.

The offer runs until August 13 and appears to be part of the company’s build-up to a global launch on August 12, with availability in the Philippines expected shortly afterwards.
The pre-order campaign includes several incentives for early purchasers. According to Insta360’s One Ayala Facebook post, the first 300 customers will receive an X6 screen protector, a replacement lens kit and an Insta360 yellow bag. The first 50 buyers who settle their remaining balance in store on August 13 will also get an extra X6 Xtreme Battery at no additional cost.
Retail reservations are being taken at Insta360 branches in Festival Mall, One Ayala, Robinsons Manila, Market! Market!, SM Cebu, SM Mall of Asia and SM Megamall. The structure suggests a limited launch window, with the company using accessories to drive early demand before full pricing and wider distribution are confirmed.
Leaks and early reports indicate that the X6 is a substantial update to the X5. Digital Camera World reported that the new model is expected to use dual custom one-inch Sony sensors, a notable step up from the X5’s smaller 1/1.28-inch sensors, which should improve low-light performance and image detail. Other leaked specifications point to three AI chips, a more compact body and a design that is shorter and wider than the X5.
Additional leaked material, reported by Android Authority, Imaging Resource, Gizmochina, Notebookcheck and Jam Online, points to 8K 360-degree video at up to 50 frames per second, a 2,600mAh battery rated for about 140 minutes of 8K recording, PureVideo low-light mode and Replaceable Lenses 2.0. Preliminary pricing seen in European listings suggests a standalone model around €689, though that figure has not yet been formally confirmed by Insta360. If those details hold, the X6 would represent one of the company’s most significant hardware revisions in years.
