iQOO prepares to launch a distinct Z11 model with enhanced durability and software support in India

iQOO has revealed details of its upcoming Z11 smartphone tailored for India, featuring a high-capacity battery, robust build, and extended software updates, setting it apart from its Chinese and Malaysian variants. Additionally, the company will introduce new TWS earphones boasting impressive battery life.

iQOO has begun adding detail to the Indian version of the Z11 ahead of its launch on 20 August, and the handset is shaping up as a separate model from the Z11 variants sold in China and Malaysia. According to iQOO, the phone will come with a 32-megapixel front camera, while the rear system will pair a 50-megapixel main sensor based on Sony’s IMX882 with optical image stabilisation and an 8-megapixel ultrawide unit.

The company also says the Indian Z11 will receive three major Android version upgrades and five years of security patches. iQOO has not yet stated the software version at launch, although industry reporting suggests Android 16 with OriginOS 6. The handset is also being positioned as a durable device, with IP68 and IP69 resistance ratings and MIL-STD-810H certification. iQOO has further said that its AI Creation and AI Captions tools will include unlimited AI credits, which it says should remove usage limits for students.

On hardware, iQOO has already confirmed a Dimensity 7500 Turbo chip, a 6.83-inch 1.5K curved AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, and a 7,050mAh battery. The company says the phone will be priced below INR40,000 in India. That places it in a segment where battery size, display quality and long software support are likely to matter as much as raw performance.

The same event will also see the arrival of iQOO Buds TWS earphones in India. iQOO says the earbuds will deliver up to 50 hours of total battery life, with up to seven hours of calling or 12 hours of music playback from a single charge, and a 10-minute top-up is claimed to provide as much as four hours of use.
