iQOO reveals Indian Z11 with massive 7,050mAh battery and AI-powered features ahead of August launch

iQOO announces the Z11, a mid-range smartphone for India featuring the MediaTek Dimensity 7500 Turbo, a record-breaking 7,050mAh battery, and AI-driven software capabilities, set to debut on 20 August under ₹40,000.

iQOO has confirmed that its next mid-range phone, the Z11, will be unveiled on 20 August, with the India-focused model positioned below ₹40,000, or about $420. The device is being pitched as a stripped-back alternative to the already announced Z11 5G line, but with an emphasis on battery life, sustained performance and AI-driven software features.

At the centre of the handset is MediaTek’s Dimensity 7500 Turbo, which iQOO says will make the Z11 the first phone in India to use the chip. That claim, reported by Ubergizmo and echoed by Gizmochina, suggests the company is aiming to differentiate the Indian variant from the Chinese model, which has been described elsewhere as using a different processor and display configuration.

Battery capacity is one of the phone’s headline features. iQOO says the Z11 will carry a 7,050mAh cell, a size that should put it among the largest batteries in its class and give it an edge for gaming, streaming and general multitasking. The phone will also include a 6.3-inch curved AMOLED panel with a 144Hz refresh rate and a quoted peak brightness of 3,000 nits, alongside Celestial Blue and Aurora Green finishes.

The software package is being framed around artificial intelligence, with Google Gemini and Microsoft Azure underpinning features such as text refinement, document summarisation, live transcription, translation and captions. Ubergizmo reports that iQOO will also include Circle to Search, which allows users to search on-screen content with a gesture. Taken together, the specification points to a handset designed to compete on endurance and display quality rather than raw flagship power, while keeping pricing within reach of buyers in the premium budget segment.
