The KeySmart SmartCard (Gen 3) is being sold as a wallet tracker for people who do not want to choose between Apple and Android ecosystems. According to the New York Post’s deal post, it is priced at $31.99, down from $39.99, and can be used with Apple Find My or Google Find. That cross-platform design is the main distinction: it aims to work across both major smartphone systems rather than locking buyers into one network.
Its appeal is partly physical. At 1.8mm thick, the card is designed to sit inside a wallet without creating the lump that many round Bluetooth trackers cause. KeySmart says the latest model uses its Atlas Gen 3 chip, which is intended to improve speed and connection reliability compared with earlier versions. Reviews from Smart Home Explorer and Tom’s Guide both highlight the device’s slim profile and wallet-friendly form factor, while noting that it is meant to solve a practical problem rather than act as a general-purpose gadget.
The hardware also removes one of the most common frustrations with trackers: disposable batteries. KeySmart says the SmartCard runs for up to 11 months on a charge and recharges on a Qi wireless pad. The company also says the card is IPX8 waterproof, which means it is built to withstand water exposure during everyday use. Tom’s Guide and other hands-on reviews have pointed to the convenience of rechargeable power as one of the stronger arguments for this type of tracker.
There are limits. Reviews note that the SmartCard does not include Ultra Wideband, the short-range radio system that can enable more exact location guidance on some devices. Even so, Apple users with supported hardware can use Precision Finding, and the card can send separation alerts if it is left behind. For people who want a thin wallet tracker that works across both major mobile platforms, the SmartCard is positioned as a practical alternative to bulkier single-ecosystem options.
