Lenovo has quietly launched the LOQ Essential 15IRH11, a new 15-inch gaming laptop equipped with Intel’s latest Raptor Lake-H Refresh processors, aimed at mainstream gamers seeking affordable performance upgrades.
Lenovo has quietly expanded its LOQ family with a new 15-inch gaming laptop, the LOQ Essential 15IRH11. According to Notebookcheck, the machine is positioned below more established gaming lines, but still brings a 165Hz display, up to 32GB of memory and a 60Wh battery. It also uses Intel’s newer Raptor Lake-H Refresh processors, rather than the older H-series parts found in some closely related models.
The key distinction lies in its processor options. Lenovo is offering the LOQ Essential 15IRH11 with either the Core 5 205H or the Core 7 230H, both rated at 45 watts. The Core 7 230H has ten CPU cores and 16 threads, while the Core 5 205H uses eight cores and 12 threads. These chips can be paired with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 Laptop GPU, with 4GB or 6GB of graphics memory, which suggests a configuration aimed more at mainstream gaming than high-end performance.
The new model also sits alongside other LOQ Essential variants already listed by Lenovo, including the Intel-based 15IRX11 and AMD-based 15ARP11. Lenovo’s own product pages show those versions with newer RTX 5050 or 5060 Laptop GPUs, up to 16GB of DDR5 memory, and storage options reaching 1TB per M.2 slot, plus features such as Rapid Charge Pro, Nahimic audio, a 720p webcam with an ePrivacy shutter and RJ-45 networking. By comparison, the 15IRH11 appears to be a more modest Intel option, likely intended to broaden the range rather than replace the faster configurations.
