Lenovo’s Legion 5 combines an Intel Core i7-13650HX, GeForce RTX 5070, 32GB of upgradeable RAM and a 165Hz 2.5K OLED display in a €1,949 mid-range gaming laptop deal.
Lenovo’s Legion 5 remains one of the more balanced mid-range gaming notebooks, and Notebookcheck says the current Intel-based configuration on Amazon.de combines a Core i7-13650HX with Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 5070, 32GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD. The listed price is €1,949, while the same model has been rated “Good (87%)” in the site’s testing. The result is a machine that aims to sit between mainstream gaming laptops and higher-priced enthusiast systems, with enough headroom for modern titles and demanding creative work.
The hardware specification is notably practical. According to Notebookcheck, the memory is arranged as 2x 16GB DDR5-4800 modules in dual-channel mode, with two SO-DIMM slots available for future upgrades. Storage is similarly flexible: Lenovo fits a PCIe 4.0 M.2 SSD and leaves room for a second drive. PC Gamer’s review of a closely related Legion 5i Gen 10 model also highlights the same 15.1-inch, 2560×1600 OLED panel and dual-drive layout, reinforcing the appeal of this chassis as a configurable platform rather than a fixed, sealed design.
The display is one of the main selling points. Notebookcheck describes a 15.1-inch OLED screen in a 16:10 format, with a 165Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision support and strong DCI-P3 colour coverage. That combination should suit both gaming and media work, while OLED’s deep blacks and fast response times remain a clear advantage over most IPS alternatives. Connectivity is also comprehensive, with Wi-Fi 7, Gigabit Ethernet, USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports, DisplayPort Alt Mode support and Power Delivery over USB-C. A backlit RGB keyboard with 24 zones and Windows 11 Home round out a specification sheet that looks unusually complete for the price.
