Nikon introduces the Z5IIC, a user-friendly full-frame mirrorless camera in India featuring automated scene modes, Imaging Recipes, and professional video options, targeting first-time and enthusiast photographers alike.
Nikon has brought the Z5IIC full-frame mirrorless camera to India, positioning it as an approachable FX-format model built around automation and guided shooting. The camera uses the company’s Z mount and adds a dedicated button for Imaging Recipes, Nikon’s preset looks created by the brand and collaborating photographers. It also offers 15 scene modes, which are intended to simplify shooting for users who do not want to tune every exposure setting manually.
According to Nikon’s announcement, the Z5IIC will be sold in India for Rs. 139,995 for the body only and will reach authorised Nikon stores from mid-October. The camera will be offered in Black and Silver finishes. Nikon’s own product page and release materials align on those details, indicating that the launch is being handled as a coordinated global product introduction rather than a market-specific variant.
The Z5IIC is built around a 24.5-megapixel full-frame sensor and Nikon’s EXPEED 7 image-processing engine, according to the company’s product information. It includes a backside-illuminated CMOS sensor, five-axis in-body vibration reduction, and an ISO range of 100 to 64,000. Nikon says its autofocus system can recognise 10 subject categories, while the automatic mode can analyse a scene and adjust aperture, shutter speed, ISO sensitivity and focus settings accordingly.
On the video side, the camera records 4K UHD at up to 60 frames per second, although Nikon notes that this mode uses a 1.5x crop, and Full HD can be captured at up to 120 frames per second. Nikon has also added slow-motion options with 4x and 5x playback, alongside a REC lamp and red frame indicator to show when recording is active. For more advanced workflows, the camera supports 10-bit H.265, N-Log and 12-bit N-RAW recording to an SD card. It can also connect to a PC over USB for webcam use or live streaming, and it supports Nikon Imaging Cloud for post-shooting file management as well as smartphone transfer.
The launch extends Nikon’s push to make full-frame cameras easier to use without removing enthusiast features. DPReview’s summary of Nikon’s announcement describes the Z5IIC as a compact model aimed at first-time users, while Nikon’s marketing stresses preset-driven operation through Imaging Recipes and scene modes. At the same time, the camera still offers a feature set that goes beyond basic entry-level use, particularly in raw video support, in-body stabilisation and subject-detection autofocus.
