The Oppo Find X9 Ultra, recognised by DXOMARK as a leading mobile photography device, features a powerful 200MP dual-camera setup and AI processing, signalling a significant step forward in smartphone camera capabilities and computational photography.
DXOMARK has placed the OPPO Find X9 Ultra among the leading phones for mobile photography, praising it for producing consistently strong results across a range of scenes. According to the review cited by No YPigeeks, the handset delivered accurate colour, fine detail and a broad brightness range in both stills and video, with particular strength in portraits, outdoor scenes, indoor settings, low light and zoom. The same report said the zoom system was especially versatile.
The camera hardware explains much of that performance. The Find X9 Ultra uses a dual 200-megapixel setup alongside a separate 50-megapixel telephoto lens with 10x optical zoom, while OPPO also relies on AI-assisted processing to refine image quality and preserve natural-looking colour. That combination has made the phone stand out in side-by-side testing, where computational photography can narrow the gap with much larger camera systems.
Independent comparisons suggest that gap is still significant in difficult conditions. Digital Camera World, in a test against the Hasselblad X2D II 100C medium-format camera, said the OPPO device can produce images that resemble mirrorless-camera output in favourable light, but the Hasselblad remains ahead in colour accuracy, dynamic range, lens quality and long-exposure work. TechRadar reached a similar conclusion in a telephoto comparison, saying the Find X9 Ultra was exceptionally capable for a smartphone and could rival much pricier cameras in some 3x and 10x shots, even if it could not fully match a professional full-frame system.
The rest of the handset is pitched squarely at the premium end of the market. OPPO equips it with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, a 6.82-inch display and a 7,050mAh battery with 100W charging. In the Philippines, the phone is on sale at OPPO stores for Php129,999 and is being bundled with a free pair of Enco X3 earphones. Separate reviews in Europe have also pointed to a large AMOLED display, strong battery life and optional wireless charging, underlining the company’s effort to position the model as a full flagship rather than merely a camera specialist.
