OPPO Philippines has unveiled the Reno16 Series 5G, emphasising its innovative camera technology, content creation capabilities, and integrated software, in a move to attract social media creators and young users.
OPPO Philippines has formally introduced the Reno16 Series 5G, positioning the phones as creator-focused devices built around camera performance, editing tools and the new ColorOS 16 software. The launch follows weeks of teasers and global rollout reports from Revu, which said the line-up was due to reach the Philippine market on August 7, 2026 and would be tied to a collaboration with K-pop group BABYMONSTER.
The company is pitching the series as a compact content-making package, with a 50-megapixel ultra-wide front camera aimed at group selfies and wider framing. OPPO also highlighted its AI Remix Collage feature, which it says can turn photos into faster, share-ready edits, while ColorOS 16 provides the software layer that ties the experience together. Revu reported earlier that the wider Reno16 family centres on imaging hardware and content creation, including a 200-megapixel main sensor, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a periscope telephoto lens with 3.5x optical zoom.
In the Philippines, pre-orders run until August 20, with discounts of PHP 3,000 on Reno16 models and PHP 2,000 on OPPO Enco Buds, according to the company’s local launch materials. Buyers will also receive one year of OPPO Care Service, which covers screen and water protection, plus a promotional offer on Enco Buds3 Pro priced at PHP 699.
OPPO’s local price list starts with the Reno16 F 5G at PHP 44,999 for the 8GB/256GB version and PHP 49,999 for the 12GB/512GB model. The standard Reno16 5G costs PHP 59,999 for 12GB/256GB, while the Reno16 Pro 5G is priced at PHP 74,999 for 12GB/512GB. Revu’s earlier coverage placed the global pricing lower in baht-equivalent terms and noted that the Pro model includes a micro-gimbal system for steadier video capture, a detail that reinforces OPPO’s emphasis on livestreaming and social-media use.
