Panasonic unveils the Lumix L10 in India, a premium fixed-lens camera celebrating 25 years of the Lumix brand, featuring Panasonic’s latest imaging technology and customisable colour options for creative photographers.
Panasonic has brought the Lumix L10 fixed-lens camera to India, positioning it as a premium compact model for photographers who want manual control, strong optics and a discreet body. The company says pricing will start at an MRP of INR 1,79,990 from August 2026, with black and silver versions available. It is also using the launch to mark 25 years of the Lumix brand, which Panasonic describes as a milestone for its imaging business.
The camera is built around a LEICA DC VARIO-SUMMILUX 24–75mm lens with an F1.7–2.8 aperture, a combination aimed at shallow depth of field, low-light work and close-up shooting. Panasonic says the lens can focus as near as 3cm, making the L10 suitable for detail work as well as general street and travel photography. The design is compact at about 508g, with a metal exterior, magnesium alloy front section and a leather-textured finish intended to improve grip and handling.
Inside, the L10 uses a 4/3-type back-illuminated CMOS sensor with an effective resolution of 20.4 megapixels, paired with the latest image processor. Panasonic says the camera supports Dynamic Range Boost for improved shadow detail and offers multi-aspect shooting in 4:3, 3:2 and 16:9 formats while preserving the same angle of view. The emphasis is on giving users more creative flexibility without changing composition or lens framing.
The company is also leaning heavily on colour control and subject tracking. The L10 includes film-inspired Photo Styles such as L.Classic and L.ClassicGold, plus REAL TIME LUT support so users can preview a finished colour look in camera. Through the LUMIX Lab app, Panasonic says creators can build custom LUTs using AI-based colour analysis. Autofuocus is handled by Phase Hybrid AF with 779 focus points, alongside AI-based recognition for eyes, faces, bodies, animals, vehicles and fast-moving scenes such as urban sports.
For framing and workflow, the camera offers a 2.36-million-dot OLED viewfinder, a 1.84-million-dot free-angle monitor, MP4 Lite video recording and smartphone connectivity through the LUMIX Lab app for file transfer and editing. According to Panasonic’s Indian and overseas announcements, the L10 is being pitched as a compact but capable tool for street, travel and everyday content creation, with the company stressing both optical quality and operational simplicity.
