POVA has launched the AI Buds Pro in India, targeting users seeking earbuds that prioritise productivity features like noise cancellation, transcription, and live translation, marking a shift towards software-enhanced audio devices.
POVA has entered India’s crowded true wireless market with a product aimed less at music buyers than at people who want their earbuds to behave like a productivity tool. According to the company’s launch details, the AI Buds Pro pair 48dB hybrid active noise cancellation with call recording, real-time transcription and automated meeting summaries, placing them in the small but growing category of earbuds built around work rather than entertainment.
The design is conventional but polished: a stem-style earbud shape with silicone tips, a metallic finish and a rounded charging case with a front LED indicator. POVA says the buds are IP55 rated against dust and water, use custom dynamic drivers for a balanced sound profile and include an AI audio processor that handles on-device recording, transcription, summary generation and live translation in up to 78 languages.
The hardware package is equally ambitious. An eight-microphone array, combined with a Voice Pick-up Unit, is intended to separate speech from background noise during calls and recordings. POVA also claims up to six hours of playback with active noise cancellation enabled, rising to 40 hours with the charging case. The case supports both USB-C and Qi wireless charging, while Bluetooth 5.4, low-latency connectivity and dual-device multi-point pairing round out the feature set.
At INR 14,999, or about PHP 9,000 before local taxes and duties, the AI Buds Pro sit in a price band that reflects their added software features as much as their audio hardware. They will go on sale in India on Amazon and Flipkart on 22 August 2026 at 12 noon. POVA has not yet said whether the model will reach other markets, including the Philippines. The launch comes as rivals such as OnePlus and GoBoult continue to push harder on battery life, noise cancellation and AI-assisted functions in their own earbuds, making the category increasingly defined by software as much as sound quality.
