Realme unveils the budget 16x 5G model in India, featuring a 7,000mAh battery, 144Hz display, and advanced cooling, targeting value-conscious consumers seeking durability and performance.
Realme has added a new budget 5G handset to its India line-up, with the 16x 5G aimed at buyers who want a large battery, a high-refresh display and basic durability at a relatively low price. According to Aaj Tak, the phone arrives with a 7,000mAh battery, a 144Hz screen and a 5,300mm2 vapour-chamber cooling system, placing endurance at the centre of the pitch.
The reported India pricing starts at ₹25,999 for a 4GB and 128GB model, with bank offers reducing the effective cost. A 6GB and 128GB version is listed at ₹27,999 before discounts, while the 6GB and 256GB option is priced at ₹30,999. Aaj Tak said sales begin on 13 August through Flipkart, Realme’s website and offline stores.
On specifications, the phone uses a 6.8-inch HD+ IPS LCD panel with a 144Hz refresh rate and 120Hz touch sampling rate, according to Realme’s product pages for the 16x 5G. Those pages also list the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chip, a dual rear camera system with a 50-megapixel main sensor, a fingerprint scanner and an IP65 rating. The company’s international listings also mention storage configurations of up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, plus microSD expansion of up to 2TB.
There is some variation across Realme’s regional material and third-party specifications, particularly on battery capacity. Realme’s Brazil page lists a 6,450mAh battery with 45W charging, while other reports have pointed to 6,600mAh, 7,000mAh or even 7,550mAh figures for different market versions. That suggests the 16x 5G may be sold in region-specific configurations, a common practice in the entry-level and lower mid-range segments where battery size, memory and charging support often differ by market.
