Redmi’s new Watch 6 Active and Lite models make the leap to retail, featuring AMOLED screens, improved durability, and updated health tracking at competitive prices in Nepal.
Redmi has moved its Watch 6 Active and Watch 6 Lite from rumour to retail availability, with the two models now appearing in physical stores and online listings expected to follow. In Nepal, the Active is priced at about 10,999 rupees, or roughly $70, while the Lite costs 14,999 rupees, around $98.
The two watches share the same case size, at 44.50 x 39.40 x 9.90mm, and both use a plastic frame with a TPU strap. Redmi has also given them a sharper, more angular design than the previous generation. The Active carries an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, while the Lite is rated 5ATM and adds a red home button on a small side protrusion. The main upgrade this year is the display: both watches now use AMOLED panels, unlike the Watch 5 Active and Watch 5 Lite. The Active has a 1.85-inch screen with a 390 x 450 resolution, while the Lite has a larger 1.96-inch display at 410 x 502, with higher peak brightness. Both support always-on display. The Lite is the more capable fitness model, with a 9-axis motion sensor, compass, satellite positioning, ambient light sensor, more than 150 sports modes and swim resistance to 5 metres. The Active is more basic, tracking heart rate, blood oxygen and steps, but without satellite positioning. Battery life is rated at up to 18 days under light use and 12 days with typical use from a 470mAh battery, and both watches support Bluetooth 5.3 and on-wrist calling.
