Rophie has launched the Salim Tact AI Ring, a subtle and stylish device that tracks vital health metrics continuously without a screen, shifting the focus of wearable health technology from wristbands to finger rings.

Rophie’s Salim Tact AI Ring is part of a wider shift in wearables: health tracking is moving from the wrist to the finger. The device has no screen, so it does not try to compete with a smartwatch for alerts or apps. Instead, it works quietly in the background, collecting heart rate, blood oxygen, heart-rate variability, sleep, stress, temperature trends and activity data for review in a companion app. Rophie says the ring also uses AI to look for patterns in the numbers it gathers. Battery life is one of the ring’s stronger claims. Rophie says the 16mAh cell lasts seven to 10 days and takes about two hours to recharge on its base. Longer intervals between charges reduce the chance of gaps in overnight data, which is one reason some users have started to favour smart rings over wrist wearables for continuous monitoring. Other recent rings in the same price band have also pushed battery endurance and comfort as key selling points.

Rophie still needs to prove how well its AI layer interprets the data and how accurate those insights are in practice. But the broader proposition is clear: this is a screen-free tracker for users who want persistent health monitoring without another display on the body. In a market where premium rings can cost more and sometimes add subscriptions, the Salim Tact’s relatively low price and straightforward feature set may be enough to make it attractive to buyers who care most about quiet, continuous tracking.
