Samsung’s new Galaxy F70 5G combines a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display, optical image stabilisation and a 5,000mAh battery, with prices starting at Rs 19,999 in India.
Samsung has widened its mid-range line-up in India with the Galaxy F70 5G, a phone aimed at buyers who want a large AMOLED display, a stabilised main camera and a sizeable battery without moving into premium pricing. Goodreturns said the handset was initially presented at a starting price of Rs 17,999, but Samsung’s own India listing and several technology outlets put the official pricing at Rs 19,999 for the 4GB+128GB model and Rs 22,999 for the 6GB+128GB version. The first sale is scheduled for 20 October 2026 through Flipkart and Samsung’s online store, with offline availability also planned. Samsung is offering the device in Bold Black and Vivid Violet. According to Samsung’s India site, the Galaxy F70 5G is positioned as a feature-led model within the series rather than a stripped-back budget phone.
The hardware centrepiece is a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED panel, but reports diverge on refresh rate. Goodreturns described it as a 90Hz screen, while SamMobile and other listings referred to a 120Hz panel. Samsung’s product page confirms the 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display, and 91mobiles highlighted Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection, which is unusual in this price band. The phone also carries an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and a slim 7.5mm body, according to FoneArena. These details point to a device designed to feel more finished than many low-cost rivals, even if its exact display specifications have been described differently across announcements and early reports.
Samsung says the Galaxy F70 5G runs on the Exynos 1330 chipset, built on a 5nm process, with graphics handled by the Mali-G68 MP2. Gizmochina reported configurations of up to 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB of storage, with microSD expansion available, although the supplied material does not make every memory option equally clear. The software layer is listed as One UI 9.5 based on Android 17 in the provided specifications, suggesting Samsung is leaning on its usual interface and long-term support story as part of the value proposition. For many buyers in this segment, that combination of familiar software, expandable storage and modest power hardware will matter as much as headline specifications.
The camera system is led by a 50-megapixel main sensor with optical image stabilisation, which Samsung markets as the “No Shake Cam”. That is paired with a 5-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 2-megapixel macro camera, while the front camera is 13 megapixels. Both front and rear cameras record video at up to 1080p at 30 frames a second, according to the supplied details. Power comes from a 5,000mAh battery with 25W wired charging over USB-C. On paper, the package is conventional rather than radical, but it combines several features that are still meaningful at this price: stabilised imaging, a large AMOLED screen, a protected display and a battery size that should comfortably cover a full day of ordinary use.
