Samsung’s India-only Galaxy F70 pairs a 50-megapixel OIS camera with a Super AMOLED display and 5,000mAh battery, but conflicting specifications and no confirmed UK launch remain.
Samsung has expanded its India-only F series with the Galaxy F70, a budget handset sold exclusively through Flipkart. Reporting on the launch, Gizmochina and SamMobile say the phone went on sale from 20 October 2026, with prices set at INR 19,999 for the 4GB/128GB model and INR 22,999 for the 6GB/128GB version. There is still no confirmed UK release, and Samsung’s F series has typically remained focused on online sales in India.
The main attraction for photographers is the 50-megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilisation. That is unusual at this level and should help with sharper handheld stills and steadier video in lower light. The rear system is completed by a 5-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 2-megapixel macro sensor, while the front camera is rated at 13 megapixels. Camera Jabber noted that OIS remains a meaningful advantage in this price segment, where it is still not guaranteed.
Display details also differ slightly between reports, but the broad picture is consistent: the F70 uses a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED panel with Full HD+ resolution and a 90Hz or 120Hz refresh rate, depending on the source. Several reports, including SamMobile and Gizmochina, identify Samsung’s Exynos 1330 chipset, while others suggest up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage with microSD expansion. The phone is also described as carrying Gorilla Glass Victus protection, though some listings vary on whether that is the first version or Victus 2.
Rounding out the specification sheet are a 5,000mAh battery, 25W wired charging and an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance. The handset is listed in black and violet colour options, with some reports calling them Bold Black and Vivid Violet. For a low-cost model, the combination of AMOLED display, OIS-equipped main camera and rated splash resistance makes the Galaxy F70 a fairly ambitious entry, even if some launch details still appear inconsistent across early reports.
