Leaked details suggest Samsung’s Galaxy S26 FE will debut with a new AI feature, My FanCam, enabling users to reframe videos after recording, marking a significant step in mid-range smartphone capabilities.
Samsung’s Galaxy S26 FE is shaping up to be more than a modest refresh, with leaks pointing to a new Galaxy AI feature that may arrive on the device from day one. According to Oficina da Net, the phone is expected to ship with Android 17 and gain access to My FanCam, a tool that would let users rework existing video clips after recording them.
The feature is said to work by analysing footage already captured and generating new framing choices to keep a selected person or object in view. Android Authority reported that My FanCam is being developed for One UI 9 and is intended to function as a post-production counterpart to Samsung’s Auto Framing, which adjusts the shot live during filming. That would make it useful for rescuing clips where the subject has moved out of frame.
The addition would fit Samsung’s wider pattern for Fan Edition models, which often inherit a large share of flagship software features. Leaks cited by multiple outlets suggest the S26 FE will launch with One UI 9 based on Android 17, alongside seven years of software support. That combination would place Samsung’s mid-range phone much closer to its premium devices in both capability and update policy.
Hardware rumours are also converging around an Exynos 2500 chipset, 8GB of RAM and a 50-megapixel ISOCELL GN3 main camera. Reports from MegaMobileContent, Android Central and Android Headlines all point to the same processor and memory configuration, with one Geekbench listing indicating materially stronger single-core and multi-core performance than the previous Fan Edition model. SamMobile says the phone may also keep a 6.7-inch 120Hz AMOLED display, add a 4,900mAh battery with 45W wired charging, and debut in August or September 2026 at a starting price near $799.
