Android Central said the wider aspect ratio improves ergonomics and makes the outer display easier to use for everyday apps and video, even if some content appears slightly compressed. Under the hood, Samsung uses the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy, with RAM options of 12 GB or 16 GB and storage up to 1 TB. Reviewers said performance is strong for multitasking, split-screen use and general productivity.
Samsung’s camera system is more conservative than the rest of the spec sheet. Both Tom’s Guide and Android Central said the Fold8 relies on dual 50 MP rear cameras rather than adding a telephoto lens, which limits zoom flexibility compared with some rivals. That said, the reviews found image quality solid, and Samsung’s AI features, including My FanCam and Now Nudge, are designed to support editing, content tracking and faster workflow management.
Battery capacity remains 4,800 mAh, and reviewers said endurance is acceptable rather than class-leading. Tom’s Guide noted improved wired and wireless charging, while Android Central said the phone can warm up under sustained load. The broader verdict across recent reviews is that the Fold8 feels like Samsung’s most complete book-style foldable so far: polished, portable and highly capable, even if it still lacks features such as telephoto zoom, full dust resistance and S Pen support. In a crowded foldable market, that balance may matter more than raw specification gains.
