Samsung introduces its latest Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Flip8, Watch9, and Ultra2 in Singapore, backed by robust pre-orders and new trade-in and subscription initiatives to boost accessibility and ecosystem loyalty.
Samsung has begun selling its latest foldable phones and smartwatches in Singapore, bringing the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold8, Galaxy Z Flip8, Galaxy Watch9 and Galaxy Watch Ultra2 into stores and online channels from 14 August 2026. According to Samsung’s Singapore announcements, the launch follows strong pre-order demand, with buyers particularly drawn to the 512GB versions after a temporary storage upgrade offer, while Violet Shadow, Lavender and Pink were among the most popular colour options.
The new foldables extend Samsung’s push to position its Galaxy AI software as a central part of the user experience. Samsung says the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra is the first Ultra-branded foldable in its portfolio, built around an 8-inch inner display and powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip. The company presents the device, alongside the Fold8 and Flip8, as serving different use cases, from productivity and multitasking to more compact everyday use and personal expression.
In Singapore, the phones are being sold through the main mobile operators, Samsung Experience Stores, the Samsung Shop App and Samsung Online Store, as well as Samsung’s official shops on Lazada, Shopee, TikTok, iShopChangi and KrisShop. They are also available via major electronics and IT retailers, including selected specialist outlets. Samsung says customers buying the latest Galaxy Z series between 14 August and 8 September can receive e-vouchers worth up to S$288, subject to terms.
The new wearables are on sale through the same broad retail network. Samsung is offering a 15% discount on the Galaxy Watch9 or Galaxy Watch Ultra2 when either is bought together with a Galaxy smartphone or tablet during the promotional period, again subject to conditions and channel eligibility.
Samsung is also using the launch to push two upgrade paths aimed at lowering the cost of ownership. Its New Galaxy Club programme allows customers who buy eligible Galaxy Z devices through Samsung’s website to pay S$339 for membership, in return for a guaranteed trade-in value of 50% of the original recommended retail price, capped at S$1,849, when they move to an eligible next-generation foldable during the pre-order window. The package includes two years of Samsung Care+ cover, which the company says is worth up to S$388.
For customers who prefer not to buy outright, Samsung has also partnered with Cinch on a monthly subscription model. Under that plan, the Galaxy Z Fold8 can be rented from S$125 a month on a 12-month term, with device protection included and an upgrade option at the end of the period. The structure reflects a broader effort by Samsung to make its most expensive foldables easier to access, while keeping customers inside its ecosystem for future launches.
