Samsung launches Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 with advanced dive features and rugged build

Samsung’s new Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 offers a premium, rugged design with enhanced outdoor and diving capabilities, including a bright display and extensive health tools, targeting active users seeking durability and advanced features.

Samsung’s new Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 is being pitched as a premium smartwatch for users who want more than standard fitness tracking. According to Samsung, the 47mm titanium model combines 10ATM water resistance, IP69K protection, LTE connectivity and a display that reaches 5,000 nits, making it designed for bright outdoor use and harder conditions than a typical wrist wearable.

That hardware is paired with a broad set of activity and wellness tools. Samsung says the watch supports trail navigation, hydration reminders, Vitals, Heart Health Score, AI assistance and Samsung Health integration. The company is also positioning it for recreational diving, with EN13319 certification and support for the Mares dive app, which adds underwater monitoring for depth, ascent, descent and safety-stop guidance.

Independent reporting has filled in more of the launch picture. SamMobile said the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 arrived in July 2026 with a refined design, a Snapdragon Wear Elite chipset and an 800mAh battery that is larger than before. The site also reported that the watch runs One UI 9 Watch and brings new health measurements, including AGEs, Antioxidant Index and Blood Pressure Trend. Notebookcheck similarly said the LTE model is priced at €749 in Europe, while Samsung has listed the device at $699 in the United States.

For buyers, the main attraction is not only the specifications but the current retail offer. PC Guide says the Titanium Grey LTE version is being sold with a $100 Amazon voucher and a two-year warranty. That makes the deal most relevant to Samsung Galaxy owners, particularly runners, hikers, swimmers and recreational divers who are more likely to use the watch’s rugged build, bright screen and phone-free connectivity.
