Samsung introduces its latest foldable devices alongside a range of incentives, including trade-in rebates, 48-month instalment plans, and limited-time bonuses aiming to accelerate adoption of its premium foldables and smartwatches.
Samsung has begun selling the Galaxy Z Fold8, Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Flip8, Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 and Galaxy Watch9 through its online shop, app and retail partners, and is pairing the launch with a set of buying incentives aimed at softening the cost of its latest premium devices. According to Samsung’s announcement, customers can spread payments over as many as 48 monthly instalments at 0% interest, with the exact term depending on the amount financed.
The company is also pushing its trade-in programme more aggressively. Samsung says eligible customers can receive an immediate reduction of up to €980 when they hand in a smartphone, with the discount applied directly at checkout once the model and condition have been entered. For the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2, the maximum saving is €360, while the Galaxy Watch9 can attract up to €185 in trade-in value. Samsung accepts smartphones, tablets and smartwatches from other brands, and devices with cracks in the display, frame or back can also qualify.
There is an added time-limited bonus for buyers who move quickly. Samsung says it will pay a one-off trade-in premium of €100 for the Galaxy Z Fold8 and Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, or €50 for the Galaxy Z Flip8, if the purchase is made by 22 September 2026. That incentive sits on top of the assessed trade-in value and is designed to push early uptake of the new foldables.
Customers can also add Samsung Care+ at purchase. Depending on the plan, the protection service covers unlimited repairs for accidental damage from drops or liquids, while some higher-tier plans also include replacement-device support in cases of theft or loss. The package reflects the reality that foldable phones remain costly to repair and may appeal to buyers weighing the risks of a premium handset with a folding display.
Samsung’s approach mirrors a wider launch pattern around its newest foldables. In the US, technology sites including Tom’s Guide and TechRadar have tracked carrier and retail promotions that reach well into four-figure savings for eligible customers, while Samsung itself has been offering sizeable trade-in credits and store credit at launch. The broader message is clear: the Galaxy Z Fold8 range is being sold not just as new hardware, but as a high-end upgrade made more accessible through financing, trade-ins and carrier-led discounts.
