Sekonda’s Connect Smart Watch blends classic wristwatch aesthetics with health and fitness tracking, providing a practical and stylish option for budget-conscious consumers seeking smart features without compromising on style.
Sekonda’s Connect Smart Watch is aimed at buyers who want smartwatch functions without abandoning the look of a conventional wristwatch. The model pairs a silver alloy case with a 1.1-inch round AMOLED touchscreen, and it is also sold with different strap options, including stainless steel mesh and silicone finishes. At £89.99, it sits well below many mainstream smartwatches, yet still offers step, distance and calorie tracking, sleep monitoring, heart-rate and blood oxygen readings, plus message alerts and Bluetooth calling. According to Sekonda, the design is intended to balance everyday wearability with practical technology.
That approach is the watch’s main strength. It is less likely than a sports band to look out of place with office clothes or dressier outfits, and the interchangeable 16mm straps give it some flexibility. Sekonda also supports customisable watch faces, while its guide says the watch can be paired through the HitFit Pro app on Android and iOS devices. In practical use, the feature set extends beyond basic fitness logging to include weather forecasts, music and messaging controls, breathing exercises, reminders, alarms, a calculator and a find-my-phone function.
The fitness offering is broad for the price, but it remains firmly in the entry-level category. Sekonda lists 14 sports modes, including walking, running, rowing, tennis, dance and Pilates, but the device does not include built-in GPS. That means it is best suited to everyday activity tracking rather than serious training analysis. Sekonda also says the health readings are for reference only and are not intended for medical use. Water resistance is rated IP67, which makes the watch splashproof, but not suitable for swimming or water sports.
Battery life appears to be one of its more appealing practical points. Sekonda says the watch can last for up to 10 days with light use, although independent reviews suggest real-world performance varies with how often calls and other functions are used. The lack of a printed manual may frustrate some buyers, as setup information is delivered by QR code and online guides. Even so, for shoppers who want a low-cost smartwatch with a more traditional appearance, the Connect looks like a sensible compromise rather than a compromise too far.
