TCL launches its NXTPAPER smartphone range in the Philippines, emphasising long-lasting eye comfort and productivity features across three new devices, marking a strategic expansion beyond traditional consumer electronics.
TCL has brought its NXTPAPER smartphone range to the Philippine market, led by the NXTPAPER 60 Ultra, NXTPAPER 70 Pro and K70 Power 4G. The launch extends the company’s consumer electronics business beyond televisions and home appliances and places its display technology at the centre of its mobile strategy. TCL says the line-up is built around NXTPAPER, a display system that combines hardware and software intended to make long sessions of reading, working and streaming less tiring without abandoning colour and image quality.
Peter Chen, chief executive of TCL Philippines, said the launch reflects the company’s plan to bring what it calls meaningful innovation to more consumers. The NXTPAPER branding first appeared in 2021, and TCL has since used it to describe screens designed to mimic the feel of paper while reducing visual discomfort during prolonged use. In practice, that means a matte-like finish and software features aimed at making text and images easier on the eyes.
The NXTPAPER 60 Ultra is the most productivity-focused model in the new range. TCL is pitching it at people who work on the move and need tools for virtual meetings, reviewing presentations and handling email away from a desk. TCL Central’s launch material says the phone has a 7.2-inch FHD+ NXTPAPER 4.0 display and stylus support, along with AI-powered productivity features. The Philippine launch price for the Nebula Black version with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage is PHP35,995.
The NXTPAPER 70 Pro sits between work and entertainment. Notebookcheck and Android Central both describe it as a 6.9-inch device built on a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset with a 120Hz FHD+ NXTPAPER 4.0 display, 8GB of RAM and a 5,200mAh battery. TCL’s Philippine specification sheet also lists 33W charging, up to 16GB of memory expansion, 256GB of storage and microSD support of up to 2TB. The rear camera array includes a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilisation, an 8MP ultrawide camera and a flicker sensor, while the front camera is 32MP. TCL has set the Nebula Gold model with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage at PHP22,995.
At the lower end of the range, the K70 Power 4G is aimed at buyers who value battery life above all else. TCL says it can last for up to three days on a single charge, a claim that places endurance at the centre of the device’s appeal. It also supports 33W fast charging and carries TÜV certification, which TCL uses to argue for durability and reliability. The Nebula Blue version with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage is priced at PHP9,495.
