Vivo has launched the S2 in India, offering high-end specs in the mid-range segment with attractive offers designed to boost early sales, including discounts, financing options, and bundled benefits for both online and offline buyers.
Vivo has opened sales of the S2 in India through its own e-store, Flipkart, Amazon and partner retail outlets, bringing the phone to market in Silk White, Sapphire Blue and Regal Bronze. The handset is positioned in the upper mid-range and arrives with two memory options: 8GB plus 128GB at ₹39,999 and 8GB plus 256GB at ₹44,999. Those prices broadly match earlier pre-launch chatter, which had pointed to the same colour range and similar storage tiers.
The company is also using launch incentives to push early orders. According to the sales material, offline buyers can receive up to 10% instant cashback on eligible cards and UPI payments, along with a V-Upgrade exchange bonus, zero down payment financing for up to 15 months, a 40% discount on V-Shield screen protection, a free extended warranty and Jio-linked cloud benefits. Online customers are being offered a bank discount on selected cards, no-cost EMI options and similar warranty and Jio perks.
On the hardware side, the S2 is built around a 6.83-inch 3D curved AMOLED screen with claimed peak local brightness of up to 3,000 nits. It runs on MediaTek’s Dimensity 7360-Turbo processor, which Vivo says has delivered an AnTuTu score above 970,000 in its internal testing. That places the device firmly in the performance-focused mid-range segment, where display quality and sustained responsiveness are often more important to buyers than raw flagship-level power.
Camera and battery specifications are equally ambitious. Vivo says the phone carries a 50-megapixel Sony main rear camera and a 32-megapixel front camera, with 4K recording available on both. The imaging package also includes Dual View Video and AI Erase 2.0. Power comes from a 7,050mAh battery, while the durability profile includes IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance as well as military-grade robustness. The phone ships with OriginOS 6 based on Android 16.
