Vivo’s new S2 FE sets endurance record with massive 10,000mAh battery and durable design

Vivo has launched the S2 FE in India, spotlighting its massive 10,000mAh battery and robust build with IP68/IP69 ratings. The device aims to redefine endurance in the mid-range 5G segment, featuring a 6.83-inch AMOLED display, MediaTek Dimensity 7300e chipset, and a Guinness World Record for durability testing.

Vivo has launched the S2 FE in India, adding a large-battery model to its mid-range 5G line-up. The company is positioning the handset around endurance, display quality and durability, with a 10,000mAh battery, 44W wired charging and a 6.83-inch AMOLED screen that runs at 120Hz and a 1.5K resolution. According to Vivo’s announcement, the phone also uses a MediaTek Dimensity 7300e 5G chipset and ships with up to 8GB of RAM.

The pricing places the device firmly in the upper mid-range segment. Vivo has set the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage version at Rs. 38,999, while the 8GB plus 128GB model costs Rs. 42,999. The phone will be sold in Stellar Green, Titan Black and Zen White from October 20 through Flipkart, Amazon, the Vivo India website and other retail outlets. Launch offers include a 10% instant cashback or exchange bonus, 100GB of Google One storage and discounts of up to 40% on V-Shield screen damage protection, the company said.

Beyond battery capacity, the S2 FE includes a dual rear camera system led by a 50-megapixel Sony IMX852 sensor, alongside a 2-megapixel bokeh camera. On the front is a 32-megapixel selfie camera. Vivo says the handset runs OriginOS 6 based on Android 16, and the display is rated to reach 2,000 nits peak brightness in high-brightness mode. The phone also carries IP68 and IP69 protection ratings, which should make it more resistant to dust and water than many rivals in the same price class.

Vivo has also highlighted the device’s thermal design and battery claims. The company says the phone uses a 3,800 sq mm vapour chamber and that the battery can deliver up to 68 hours of calling or 30 hours of TikTok playback on a single charge. Fonearena reported that the launch was tied to a Guinness World Record for the longest electronic product testing livestream, which lasted 32 hours and 37 minutes, underlining Vivo’s focus on endurance as a central selling point for the model.
