Vivo is set to launch the V80 Lite 5G in August 2026, featuring a large 7,050mAh battery, high-refresh AMOLED display, and robust water resistance, signaling a shift towards bigger batteries in the Lite series.
Vivo’s next Lite-branded handset appears to be close to launch, with the V80 Lite 5G tipped for a mid-August 2026 release. The model is expected to open a new V80 family and follows Vivo’s earlier use of the Lite name on devices such as the X80 Lite, which was positioned as a slimmer, mid-range 5G phone. According to specifications circulating online, the new version is aimed at buyers who want a large battery and a high-refresh display without moving into flagship pricing.
The clearest leak so far points to a 6.83-inch AMOLED screen with 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, plus IP68 and IP69 protection for dust and water resistance. It is also said to run on MediaTek’s Dimensity 7360 chip and ship with Android 16. The headline feature, however, is the battery: 7,050mAh with 44W wired charging. That combination would place the phone among the larger-capacity mainstream models if Vivo keeps the reported design and weight in check.
Camera details remain modest by comparison, with a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 2-megapixel auxiliary unit and a 32-megapixel front camera. That is less ambitious than some third-party listings, which describe a very different V80 Lite 5G with a Dimensity 8400+ processor, a 108-megapixel rear camera array and 120W charging. Those listings should be treated cautiously, because they conflict sharply with the device details reported from the Google Play Console and may reflect errors or an unrelated configuration. By contrast, Vivo’s older X80 Lite line used a far smaller 4,500mAh battery, a 90Hz AMOLED panel and a Dimensity 900 chip, underlining how much the Lite range has shifted towards bigger batteries and tougher ingress protection.
