vivo’s X500 Pro Max brings 200MP telephoto reach and 7,800mAh battery to Singapore

vivo has launched its X500 series in Singapore, led by the X500 Pro Max with a 200MP ZEISS telephoto camera, 4K/240fps video and the largest battery yet in the company’s X line.

vivo has launched its X500 series in Singapore, pitching the new flagship phones as a sharper bet on mobile imaging, video creation and battery life. The line-up comprises the X500 and X500 Pro Max, and both arrive with OriginOS 7, which the company says adds productivity tools, stronger cross-device integration and new AI-assisted functions. According to vivo Singapore’s product pages, the standard X500 is available in Sunny White and Dusk Black, with a 6.59-inch display, a slim 8.15mm body and a 7,500mAh battery.

The headline model is the X500 Pro Max, which is built around a 200MP ZEISS APO telephoto camera and a 1/1.4-inch sensor, alongside support for vivo’s ZEISS Telephoto Extender Gen 2 Ultra. vivo says the phone is designed for more ambitious long-range photography, with subject-tracking tools, stabilisation aimed at handheld shooting and a 30x long-range motion snapshot mode. HardwareZone Singapore and other launch coverage also point to the Pro Max as the more expansive imaging model in the series, with the company positioning it for users who want extra reach and more control over framing.

Video capture is another major focus. vivo says the Pro Max supports 4K/240fps recording, 4K Dolby Vision portrait video and a cinematic log mode tuned for post-production work. The company also highlights a range of creator-oriented features, including stage recording modes, film-style effects and a dedicated portrait video pipeline. The standard X500 is more modest but still adds a 72mm-equivalent ZEISS APO telephoto camera, a 50MP ultra-sensing main camera and cinematic portrait tools that adjust lighting and colour treatment more intelligently across scenes.

The X500 series also brings the largest batteries yet in vivo’s X line, with a 7,800mAh unit in the Pro Max and a 7,500mAh battery in the X500. Both phones support 90W wired charging and 40W wireless charging, plus bypass charging to reduce heat during intensive use. vivo says the battery system uses second-generation semi-solid-state technology designed to remain reliable in temperatures as low as -20C. The Pro Max also features a 6.85-inch 2K display, while both models include ZEISS Master Color tuning, IP68/IP69 resistance, 3D ultrasonic fingerprint recognition, USB 3.2 connectivity and an infrared blaster.

In Singapore, the X500 costs S$1,999 for the 12GB-plus-512GB configuration, while the X500 Pro Max is priced at S$2,499 for the same memory and storage combination. Pre-orders opened on 20 October, with sales due to begin on 31 October. vivo is offering launch incentives worth up to S$1,000, including a S$200 pre-order discount and selected gifts such as a telephoto extender and case, subject to stock and conditions. Buyers can place orders through vivo Experience Stores, major online marketplaces and selected retail partners, while Singtel pre-orders are due to run from 23 to 30 October.
