XElectron has expanded its projector range in India with the Techno Plus Android 14 Smart Projector, a budget model aimed at buyers who want a large-screen set-up without moving to a television. The company has set the price at ₹8,499 and is selling the device through Amazon.in, its own website and authorised offline retailers, according to MobiGyaan and reporting by The Times of India.
The Techno Plus is positioned above the earlier Techno model in the same series. It offers native Full HD resolution at 1,920 x 1,080 pixels, support for decoding 4K content, and a claimed 9,000 lumens of brightness. XElectron also says it uses a 5,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, an LED light source rated for up to 50,000 hours, and auto keystone correction to simplify alignment. The chassis can rotate through 180 degrees, allowing projection onto a wall or ceiling, while the image can scale to as much as 200 inches.
On the software side, the projector runs Android 14, which lets it work as a self-contained streaming device rather than relying on an external dongle or set-top box. XElectron says it supports major streaming services including Netflix, YouTube, Prime Video, JioHotstar, ZEE5 and SonyLIV, and offers interface support for 25 languages, including Hindi, English and Bengali. The device also includes dual-band Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0, along with a built-in bass speaker for basic standalone audio.
The launch comes as XElectron widens a projector line that is increasingly focused on low-cost home entertainment. Earlier coverage of the Techno and Techno Plus range showed the company pitching the products for movies, sports, gaming and presentations, with the higher-end model differentiated by Full HD output, better brightness and a larger projected image than the entry-level version. That broader strategy suggests XElectron is trying to compete on features that matter most in the budget category: simple set-up, built-in apps, and enough wireless flexibility to replace a basic TV in smaller rooms.
