Xiaomi introduces the Redmi Note 17 Pro and Pro Max 5G in Indonesia, emphasising durability, massive batteries, and comprehensive after-sales support with exclusive first-sale discounts and bundled incentives.
Xiaomi has begun selling the REDMI Note 17 Pro series in Indonesia, positioning the new handsets around durability, large batteries and extended after-sales support. The line-up comprises the REDMI Note 17 Pro 5G and the REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G, with local pricing starting at Rp5,699,000 for the Pro 5G and Rp7,499,000 for the Pro Max, according to Xiaomi’s Indonesian launch announcement and local technology coverage.
The standard REDMI Note 17 Pro 5G is offered in three configurations: 6GB/256GB, 8GB/256GB and 8GB/512GB. Xiaomi has set the highest visible price at Rp6,999,000 for the top Pro 5G model, while the Pro Max 5G comes in 8GB/256GB and 8GB/512GB variants priced at Rp7,499,000 and Rp8,499,000 respectively. During the first-sale period, the 6GB/256GB Pro 5G is being sold for Rp5,299,000 after a Rp400,000 discount, with a free REDMI Watch 5 Active included, as reported by Medcom and Pricebook.
The promotional structure extends beyond the handset discount. Xiaomi is bundling a range of incentives, including trade-in cashback of up to Rp1 million, 0% instalments, and extra benefits such as 1,000GB of XL 5G+ data over 12 months, two months of YouTube Premium and six months of Google One with 200GB of storage. The company says these benefits are available for a defined period and are subject to terms and conditions, while the first-sale window runs from 25 September to 15 October 2026.
Xiaomi is also leaning heavily on durability claims. Both phones use the company’s Titan Structure, which it says is designed to improve resistance to impact, dust and water, and both carry TÜV SÜD 5-star Titan Quality Certification. Pricebook reports that the REDMI Note 17 Pro 5G pairs this certification with a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution, Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 Mobile Platform and an 8,340mAh battery with 67W HyperCharge. The Pro Max model is highlighted by Xiaomi as the first Redmi Note device to use the “Pro Max” name, and the company says it carries a 10,000mAh battery through its Titan Battery System with 100W HyperCharge.
The after-sales package is equally prominent in Xiaomi’s pitch. The company’s No. 1 Warranty programme includes an extended warranty of up to 24 months, one replacement each for the back cover and display, one repair for liquid damage within 24 months, and a battery replacement allowance within 36 months, all subject to conditions. VIP Service adds loan phones during repair, pick-up and return service, a dedicated customer line and a six-month screen warranty. The phones are being sold through Xiaomi Indonesia’s official Shopee store, with the company presenting the range under the theme “Built for Years”.
