Motorola’s first book-style foldable, the Razr Fold, demonstrates remarkable battery stamina, outlasting rivals like Samsung and Honor in real-world usage, signalling a win for efficiency and longevity in the foldable market.

Motorola’s first book-style foldable, the Razr Fold, is making an unusually strong case for battery endurance in a product category where stamina has often been a weakness. According to Notebookcheck, the device pairs a 6,000mAh cell with more than 18 hours of Wi‑Fi web browsing, placing it ahead of key rivals and giving it a clear practical edge for heavy daily use.

That advantage is especially striking against Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold7, which Notebookcheck says manages 14.3 hours from its 4,400mAh battery, and even against Honor’s Magic V6, whose larger 6,660mAh pack still falls short on the same test. In other words, raw capacity is only part of the story; Motorola appears to have combined a large battery with efficient power management in a way that translates into longer real-world runtime.

Motorola’s own product material says the Razr Fold supports 80W wired TurboPower charging and can deliver more than 12 hours of use from a brief top-up, but there is no wireless charging on the model highlighted by Notebookcheck. That absence may matter less to travellers than the ability to spend a full day away from a socket, especially when streaming video on the large inner display or juggling two apps at once.

There is, however, a trade-off. The Razr Fold weighs 243 grams, which is heavier than many rivals, even if Notebookcheck says the difference remains manageable in daily use. By contrast, Samsung’s Fold7 offers wireless charging and a lighter battery load, but at the cost of markedly shorter endurance. For buyers who value time between charges above all else, Motorola’s approach looks like a deliberate and effective gamble.
