A variety of brands from Sony to Hisense are now competing in the ₹50,000 segment, offering advanced features and better value for Indian consumers looking to upgrade their 50-inch 4K smart TVs.
If you are shopping for a 50-inch 4K smart TV in India with a ceiling of ₹50,000, the market is broad enough to reward careful comparison. Brands including Sony, Samsung, LG, TCL, Xiaomi, Haier and Hisense all have models in this bracket, with most offering 4K resolution, smart TV software, streaming apps and multiple HDMI ports for consoles, set-top boxes and soundbars.
Among the better-known options, Sony’s BRAVIA 2 K-50S25 is positioned as the premium pick in the group. According to the specifications, it pairs a 50-inch 4K panel with a 60Hz refresh rate, runs Android TV, and comes with 20W speakers and Dolby Audio. It also includes HDMI, USB, Ethernet and Bluetooth connectivity, while the wider BRAVIA 2 II range launched later in India brings Sony’s X1 picture processor and 4K upscaling, which can make lower-resolution content look sharper.
Samsung’s UA50UE81AFU is another strong all-rounder. Samsung says the set uses a 50-inch Crystal 4K UHD panel with 4K upscaling, HDR10+ support and Tizen software for streaming apps. The set also includes 20W speakers, HDMI, USB and Ethernet, plus AirPlay and Samsung Knox Security. In the retail market, its price can sit close to the top end of this category, though some sellers list it lower than the figure quoted in the round-up.
LG’s 50UA82006LA, meanwhile, offers a more budget-conscious route into the segment. It combines a 50-inch 4K display with HDR10+, 20W sound and three HDMI ports, alongside two USB ports for accessories and storage. TCL’s 50V6C is one of the more feature-heavy alternatives, with Google TV, Dolby Atmos, 24W speakers and a 4-star energy rating. Xiaomi’s X Series and Hisense’s E6S are both aimed at value buyers, with the Xiaomi model emphasising broad format support and slim pricing, while the Hisense set highlights brightness, contrast and wide viewing angles.
For most households, the right choice comes down to how the TV will be used. Sony and Samsung look strongest for buyers who want a more polished premium experience, while TCL stands out for sound and smart features at a lower price. LG, Xiaomi, Haier and Hisense make the case for value, especially if the priority is simply getting a big 4K screen for films, sports and OTT apps without pushing beyond ₹40,000.
