Amazfit introduces the Balance 3, a feature-rich hybrid smartwatch combining long battery life, advanced training tools, and rugged design, targeting active users seeking value without flagship prices.
Amazfit is positioning the Balance 3 as a more ambitious follow-up to its earlier Balance line, aiming at buyers who want a serious sports watch without paying flagship prices. The device is priced at $369.99, putting it well below many premium rivals while still promising advanced training tools, long battery life and a design that can work in the office as well as on a run, according to launch reports from Gizmochina and Notebookcheck.
The watch centres on a 1.5-inch AMOLED screen with a peak brightness of 3,000 nits and sapphire crystal protection, a combination intended to improve outdoor visibility and resistance to scratches. It also uses a stainless-steel case, adds a built-in LED torch and includes physical controls alongside a rotating crown, a layout that should appeal to users who prefer tactile navigation during exercise. The company’s broader Balance line has already been noted for combining lightweight everyday wearability with health and fitness tracking, although the Balance 3 appears to lean more heavily into a rugged, feature-rich profile.
On the fitness side, Amazfit has loaded the Balance 3 with dual-band GPS that supports six satellite systems, 64GB of internal storage and support for more than 180 sports modes, including HYROX training and race tools, according to Gadgets 360, T3 and Notebookcheck. The watch also adds offline maps and turn-by-turn navigation, which should make it more useful for trail running and other outdoor sessions where a phone is not always practical. The company’s HybridCharge system combines sleep and stress data into a readiness score, a more aggressive attempt to turn raw health metrics into a daily training recommendation.
Battery life remains one of the Balance 3’s main selling points. Amazfit says the 658mAh battery can last up to 21 days under typical use, with considerably less endurance when always-on display settings are enabled. For GPS use, the watch is rated for up to 41 hours in the most precise mode or 84 hours in a power-saving setting. That level of stamina, if real-world results come close to the claim, gives it a clear advantage over watches that require far more frequent charging.
Taken together, the Balance 3 looks like a direct attempt to capture users who want a hybrid smartwatch that can handle both training and daily wear. It is not the lightest option in Amazfit’s range, and the larger case may not suit smaller wrists, but the combination of a bright display, strong battery life, generous storage and broader sports support makes it one of the company’s most complete mainstream watches to date.
