Canaltech’s tests reveal that low-cost tablets like the VAIO TL10 and Multilaser Ultra 10 can run Roblox but face significant performance issues during complex multiplayer scenes, prompting advice to spend more for smoother gameplay.
Roblox may run on modest hardware, but Canaltech’s tests suggest that a cheap tablet still leaves little room for comfort when the game becomes demanding. In comparisons between the VAIO TL10 and the Multilaser Ultra 10, both priced below R$1,200, the experience was serviceable only in lighter scenes, with clear limits once the action grew busier.
The stronger of the two was the VAIO TL10. Notebookcheck lists it with an Unisoc T7255/T616 chip, 8GB of RAM, ARM Mali-G57 MP1 graphics and a 10.4-inch, 2,000 x 1,200 display, which helps explain why it handled everyday use and simpler games more convincingly. Canaltech found that it could cope reasonably well with Roblox in low-complexity worlds, but performance fell away sharply when a map included more objects, visual effects or other players at once.
The Multilaser Ultra 10 struggled sooner and more obviously. Canaltech reported that it could launch Roblox and run basic experiences, but camera movement and character control became noticeably less stable as scenes became busier. In crowded areas, stuttering and pauses were more frequent, which is exactly the sort of problem that hurts an online game built around quick reaction and movement.
Roblox itself says that low or inconsistent frame rates reduce smoothness and responsiveness, and that lower-end mobile devices are more vulnerable to memory limits and thermal slowdown during longer sessions. That helps explain why performance varies so widely from one Roblox experience to another. The practical conclusion is simple: a budget tablet can run the game, but buyers should not expect a mid-range experience. Canaltech’s advice is that anyone who wants better results should consider spending more, rather than hoping a sub-R$1,200 device will cope well with heavier maps and busy multiplayer sessions.
