CyberPowerPC launches the Gamer Xtreme MA-01, a mid-range gaming desktop featuring a striking in-house chassis, rich upgrade options, and a chassis design that combines retro-futurist aesthetics with modern airflow and usability enhancements.
CyberPowerPC’s latest mid-range gaming desktop is less about raw speed than the case it arrives in. The Gamer Xtreme MA-01 uses the company’s new in-house chassis, and the result is a far more polished machine than older CyberPowerPC towers. PCMag found that the design, with its curved glass panels, metal trim and analogue RGB controls, gives the system a more premium look while still keeping the price within reach for a performance-focused prebuilt.
At $2,299.99 through Best Buy for the reviewed configuration, the machine pairs an Intel Core Ultra 7 270K Plus processor with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070, 32GB of DDR5 memory, a 2TB PCIe 4.0 SSD and an 850W power supply. PCMag said the MA-01 is also highly configurable, stretching from far cheaper builds to top-end consumer systems with an RTX 5090 and an eight-terabyte PCIe 5.0 drive, which makes the platform unusual for buyers who want a prebuilt that can be tailored closely to budget and part selection.
The case itself is the main differentiator. According to Tom’s Hardware’s separate coverage of the MA-01 enclosure, CyberPowerPC has built its first in-house chassis around a retro-futurist aesthetic with curved glass, slanted airflow panels and a woven steel mesh top vent intended to help exhaust air more quietly. The tower also provides a practical front I/O layout, including USB Type-A, USB-C and audio connections, while the lighting controls are handled by physical knobs rather than software alone.
That combination of design and layout is paired with strong upgrade potential. PCMag noted that the mid-tower case supports ATX, Mini-ITX and Mini-DTX motherboards, graphics cards up to 420mm and substantial cooling hardware, including a 360mm radiator. It also compared the MA-01 favourably with the Lenovo Legion Tower 5 Gen 10, saying the CyberPowerPC machine is easier to open, service and upgrade. In testing, the system’s Intel chip delivered strong productivity results and the RTX 5070 handled 1440p gaming well, though it remained behind similarly priced rivals fitted with the faster RTX 5070 Ti.
