Google’s Pixel 11 Pro enhances display brightness and AI features over its predecessor, but with a higher price and less RAM at base, signalling a focus on design and efficiency improvements.
Google’s Pixel 11 Pro appears to be a more polished compact flagship than the Pixel 10 Pro, but the gains come with a higher launch price and one notable downgrade in base memory. The latest model starts at Rs 1,19,999, or Rs 10,000 more than its predecessor, yet it brings a thinner body, lighter weight, faster charging, a brighter screen and a newer Tensor G6 processor, according to Gizbot’s specification comparison. Independent previews from Tom’s Guide and Android Central broadly match that picture, describing the 11 Pro as an incremental but meaningful revision rather than a full redesign.
On the outside, the two phones are closely related. Both use a 6.3-inch 120Hz Super Actua OLED panel, but the newer handset adds an anti-glare layer and raises peak brightness to 3,600 nits from 3,300 nits. Gizbot says Google has trimmed the chassis to 7.6mm and 204 grams, down from 8.5mm and 207 grams, while also reducing the camera bump so the phone sits flatter on a table. The new HiLight light ring around the rear camera module is another visible change, adding notification and Gemini-related effects that the earlier model does not have.
The biggest internal shift is the move from Tensor G5 to Tensor G6. Google says the new chip is aimed at better efficiency, on-device AI performance and thermal control, while Tom’s Guide reports that the next-generation silicon is expected to be paired with a more efficient modem for improved connectivity and battery use. Memory is one of the few areas where the older phone still has the edge: the Pixel 10 Pro launches with 16GB of RAM, while the 11 Pro begins at 12GB, although higher-storage variants of the new model are said to come with 16GB. Storage availability also changes, with the Pixel 11 Pro starting at 256GB instead of 128GB.
Camera hardware remains familiar on paper, with a 50MP main camera, 48MP ultra-wide and 48MP telephoto unit on both phones, but Gizbot says the 11 Pro uses larger sensors and a faster image pipeline. Google also claims Night Sight processing is up to 4.5 times faster, and the new phone adds AI tools such as Magic Capture and Camera Looks. Battery capacity is slightly lower at 4,850mAh, compared with 4,870mAh on the 10 Pro, but charging is much quicker at 45W wired and 25W wireless using Qi2.2 magnetic charging. Both phones are promised seven years of software support, though the Pixel 11 Pro arrives with Android 17 pre-installed.
