Nothing has expanded its budget line with the Phone 4b, a handset that keeps the brand’s transparent styling and Glyph lighting but trims the specification list to suit everyday buyers rather than mobile gamers chasing top-tier hardware. Geek Culture said the device is built around Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 chip with an Adreno 810 graphics processor, 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, alongside a 6.77-inch AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. The company is pitching it as an affordable alternative in a market where design and battery life often matter as much as raw speed.
The focus on gaming performance is notable because the phone’s test run included Genshin Impact, Zenless Zone Zero and Delta Force, all of which can expose weaknesses in lower-cost devices. According to Geek Culture, the review looked not only at frame rates but also at thermal performance and general responsiveness under load, suggesting Nothing wants the 4b to be seen as more than a style-first budget model. Other hands-on reports have described the phone as smooth for daily use and capable of handling light gaming without major issues, even if it is not designed for demanding play.
Specification listings from PhoneArena and Oispice add more detail to the handset’s hardware profile. Geek Culture said the Phone 4b costs S$499 in Singapore and comes in white, black and blue, while other coverage put the UK price at £299 and said sales begin later in July. Taken together, the reports suggest Nothing is aiming for a familiar formula: distinctive hardware, modest core specs and enough polish in the display, battery and software to make the device stand out in the crowded lower mid-range segment.
