Amazon is offering the Arlo Pro 6 two-camera kit with solar panels at a reduced price of €274.99, enhancing DIY outdoor surveillance with advanced features and flexible installation for holiday or remote periods.
Amazon is selling a two-camera Arlo Pro 6 kit with two solar panels for €274.99, down from €349.99, making it a more affordable way to add outdoor surveillance before a holiday or other period away from home. The package also includes a trial of Arlo Secure, which unlocks the brand’s more advanced alert features. According to Arlo’s product information, the kit is positioned around wire-free installation and low-maintenance power rather than mains wiring.
The Pro 6 is built for outdoor use and is rated IP65, with the company saying it can operate in temperatures from -20°C to 45°C. It records in 2K HDR and offers a 160-degree field of view, colour night vision, a 12x digital zoom and automatic tracking. Arlo also includes an integrated spotlight, siren and two-way audio, all of which are intended to deter intruders and help users respond to activity at the door or around the garden.
Much of the appeal comes from the software side. Arlo says the Secure subscription can identify people, animals, vehicles and parcels, while also enabling activity zones, cloud storage and more tailored alerts. Without that paid plan, the cameras still provide live video and basic motion detection, but the more useful object recognition functions are limited. The brand also says the wireless cameras support both 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi, which should make placement easier in homes with mixed network conditions.
