LG Electronics unveils AI-powered vision for connected homes at IFA 2026

LG Electronics is set to showcase a comprehensive AI-driven ecosystem for smarter, coordinated homes at IFA 2026, emphasising innovative appliances, immersive televisions, and personalised home experiences.

LG Electronics is set to use IFA 2026 in Berlin to push a broader vision for connected homes, positioning artificial intelligence as the link between appliances, televisions and wider living spaces. According to the company’s preview, the centrepiece will be an expanded version of its “AI Appliances Orchestra” concept, first introduced last year, designed to show how products can work together across space, energy and connectivity.

The stand in Hall 18 at Messe Berlin will present what LG describes as practical applications of its AI strategy for European households. The company says the display will combine products, services and experiences to demonstrate a more coordinated home environment, with systems tuned to individual routines and local needs. A separate online stream on LG Global YouTube will extend the presentation to viewers who cannot attend in person.

LG is also expected to highlight its latest AI televisions, including models built around improved picture and sound processing. The company says the aim is to make home entertainment more immersive by using AI to sharpen images and enhance audio in real time. That approach follows LG’s recent product launches, including new QNED evo Mini LED sets and Micro RGB evo AI televisions, both of which stress colour performance and AI-driven upscaling.

The Berlin showcase builds on the company’s broader push at CES 2026, where LG unveiled an updated LG SIGNATURE range with more advanced AI features and refined industrial design. In those announcements, the company said its AI Core-Tech was intended to add intelligence and convenience to premium appliances, including a refrigerator with conversational AI and an integrated LCD display. LG has also been promoting what it calls “affectionate intelligence”, a brand of AI meant to sense, think and act across homes, vehicles and lifestyle products.

Founded as a major consumer electronics group, LG says it now employs more than 75,000 people and generated global revenue of more than 88 trillion won in 2024 across its four business divisions. Its portfolio spans televisions, home appliances, air conditioning, vehicle components and commercial solutions, with LG SIGNATURE and LG ThinQ serving as its flagship premium and smart-home brands.
